Hy,
I cannot find reliable infirmation about the power consumtion of the MSI GTX660

I am trying to build a low cost gaming pc.
Grafcs: MSI GTX660 very nice mid range card and PhysiX for Borderlands2
CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 750K x4 3,4GHz best for the money and no too much of a bottleneck for the GPU
Motherboard: Asrock FM2A55M-VG3 Mainboard just enough and nice for the price
RAM: not sure yet if i need more than 4Gig for gaming and if i want to use dual channel now, or take 8Gig now and upgrade later.
HDD: not sure maybe ssd+500GB WD hdd

I am looking into an Antec Basiq BP430 or something like that..Should defenetly have reliable overvoltage safety and efficiancy and not louder than my grafics card.

I have absolutely no experience with buying PSUs so i would be really glad to hear tipps from someone who has.
Comments on the planned build are very welcome too.

I need my pc to be not too loud under load, and i heard good things about the MSI GTX660.
I myself really don't need more than 60 fps, I can sacrifice AA if it means to have more objects, details, lights aso.
I was looking for a bit pricier ATI grafics, but after some Demos i think PhysX for Borderlands 2 is really something. and there are not much Nvidia midrange cards.

best regards

Made by the best SEASONIC.

A Geforce GTX 660 - needs at least 24 amps on the 12v rail and a 450w power supply.

This unit has 44 amps on the 12v rail.

660 uses a max of 140w for the reference card from Nvidia site so i would presume like max 10 w more :p  750k is great budget CPu but if you can stretch your budget get an FX 6300 and a 970 AM3+ Board. a Good XFX 550w PSu should do well and i think there may be one on sale now on newegg although i may be mistaken:p

Thanks very much to you both.. I probably should have chosen Danzas answer for the best solution because of more details on the watts, but i can't find out how to undo the first choice.

That PSU looks amazing for the price. I had to search for an alternative store, because i am from Ausrtia but i might get it for about 50€ wich is nice.

Thx for the tipp with the FX6300, i will actually take it into consideration, because i found a even cheaper motherboard for that.
Let's see if I can find any good benchmarks :)

best Regards
