Laptop Shuts down unexpectedly after 5-7 mins

HI

My Laptop has been shutting down automatically after 5-7 minutes,

I can power it up and also it loads the operating system and after that I can do pretty much what on a normal laptop can be done watch video, or run any program (for about 5 minutes) but after that it shuts down without any warning.

Could this be motherboard, CPU or hard Drive Issue

can you hear the cooling fan running ?

Do you have enough time to install some temperature monitoring software ?

Does the time vary if you leave the laptop off for an hour
or you reboot and start again several times ?

I once had to repair a laptop with a corrupted CMOS which shut down after about 4 minutes
(actually 255 seconds)
To reset the cmos I had to disconnect the cmos button battery.
