Hi I have a strict 400 dollar budget to build a gaming PC, I don't expect it to play ultra at 1080p but it'll be better than my current laptop. I'm mainly wanting to see if there's a better build I can do for UNDER $400 total, which is my limit, and to also see if my current wish list is compatible. This is the list here: http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx...

http://pcpartpicker.com/user/unclema0/saved/3Enm Great system should be able to play most games on 1080p at high- ultra settings, if your budget is super strict and u can't go over 400 just remove the optical drive

hmm the link doesn't appear to include the price or site of the HDD? It just shows it there without a price.

Also the price shows way above 460, it's under 400 AFTER mail in rebates, but I have exactly $400 to spend.

Wouldn't it be better to reduce the ram to 4GB and get the a-10 6800k instead of 5800k?

I just made http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2NucM as a possible alternative as well.

Keep in mind that an independent gpu is always better than an apu. Check out the r7 260X vs a10-5800k the r7 will always win and not only that but apus require a lot of high quality ram to work well to.

http://pcpartpicker.com/user/himfour4/saved/3Ex8 ? That's with the r7260x while staying just under 400.

KK but if you should try and buy a quad core cpu and 8gbs of ram to get the most fps out of game. And also remember to turn of the integrated graphics on the ap if u wish to use the r7. This a website i use to decide my cpu and gpu purchases. http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu_value.html
