I am receiving the blue screen of death error. No over clocking whatsoever. Nvidia 8800 gts. Quad core 2.4 intel processor. New OS installation due to the fact that system restores weren't working at all. Gigabyte motherboard ddr2. Hope that helps answer your questions. Thanks for any assistance on this.

Thanks! Doing that right now... Can only start computer in Safe Mode. Will I be able to run these applications in that mode?

Yes, well, coretemp. Memtest makes a bootable disc (or USB) and runs before Windows boot. If it's not BSOD in Safe Mode, you might also have a bad video driver (or corrupt) or your GPU might even be overheating. Is it fan cooled? Check that too...
