First Gaming PC build help

Im looking for some help or suggestions on my first PC build. My budget is under $1500 and preferably around $1200 or $1300. Ive already got a monitor, keyboard, mouse, and Windows 8 disc. I want to play new games this year like Elder Scrolls Online, The Witcher 3, The Division, as well as older games; i.e. Far Cry 3 and Battlefield 4. Plus endless indie games on steam.

I bought a Minion Advanced from Ironside Computers last year and wasn't impressed so I returned it after a few days. Ive got some more money now and want to try my hand at building my own to save on labor and for the experience. But I don't know a ton about specs and so forth. My graphic card preference would be a GTX 780, GTX 770, or whatever's comparable. And I would like liquid cooling if you think it would be helpful/needed.

If its not too much to ask I would appreciate if someone would give me an idea of what I could get on newegg.com or pcpartpicker.com etc...

Thank you so much for helping out a future PC gamer!

Try this build: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/unclema0/saved/3Eo6. It's a really good build and should be able to max out all the games you mentioned above. BTW water cooling is crap, it's a bitch to maintain.

TheMahammado's build is pretty good. But keep in mind for 200 dollars more how much more performance are you getting? I reckon it's an overkill for the games you mentioned. Not only that but my SSD is 2 as big as his.

im confused uncle how is my buiild overkill he is playing battlefield 4 and elder scrolls, etc. also you dont need a 240gb ssd. os takes up like half of a 120gb ssd and then you have the rest of space for games. also you are getting a whole lot more performance by paying 200 bucks more

1. Whats wrong with 16 gbs of ram?
2.Whats wrong with the case?
3. Whats wrong with the dvd?
4. Cooler Master makes some of the some reliable psu's in the market.
5. Isn't 200 extra dollars solve the 'problem'?
6. http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu_value.html
Gtx 770 20.06, GTX 780 16.00 therefore the gtx 770 20.00 - 16.00 = 4.00, 16 divided by 4 = 4 therefore the gtx 770 delivers 25% more performance for every dollar.
7. http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_value_available.html
Fx-8320= 50.76, I5-4670k= 37.04, therefore the fx 8320 delievers over 40% more performance for every dollar

Lets get started lol. You dont need 16gb of ram for gaming. You wont notice a big difference in gaming with 16gb versus 8gb. 8gb does just the same amount of work. The case is so ugly, lowe rated, and doesnt really seem like it has the capabilities to have a case. My build includes a really nice case. Cooler Master psu is terrible compared to the Corsair RM750. Ask SR71 Blackbird on this forum. He is a psu EXPERT EXPERT. http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-780-vs-GeForce-GTX-770 http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i5-4670K-vs-AMD-FX-8320 Sure its more price performance but you want more power. Both of our builds are around the same price tag. SO why not spend the same amount of money and get better quality parts. Thats whats wrong with your build

1. he as 200 dollars to fix the case and the psu
2. I said that this is a multiuse computer for like 4th time 16gbs of rams helps video editing -.-
3. As long as the psu is reliable and can run the system who cares?
4. He didn't mention if he's using a multi monitor system or if he games on definitions beyond 1080p then 16gbs of rams makes a fair difference.

Thank you. I really appreciate your help on this. Im still doing research but I really like the idea of this build. I like the Intel i5 cpu and the GTX 780 graphics card too. Im wondering if you've done this build before yourself? Just curious. Hopefully I'll be able to figure out how to put everything together without too much trouble. I won't be buying anything for probably a few weeks, but if I build this I will definitely let you know how it goes. Thanks again, you've been a big help!

Your welcome. No I havent built this build myself. Here is the one that I built though. Trying to sell it for 1300 bucks. http://pcpartpicker.com/b/LMp You shouldnt have any problems building this. The psu is fully modular meaning cable managment is really easy. Make sure you use all the water cooling holes for cable managment. Also, if you run into any problems while building, send me a private message. I can help you. Thanks You for BA though
