Hello - This will be my second build, but my first over 500 dollars. I am currently on a very old gaming PC which was build by a friend years and years ago.

I am looking to spend less than $2000 however would prefer to be closer to the $1500 range. I've selected the parts in which I believe should work well together. My main concern is stability, while my main goal is being able to play current gen games at high to max settings. Some examples would be Thief, Star Citizen, Assassins Creed Black Flag, Elder Scrolls Online, etc.

This list of components can be found here: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2NpJJ

Regarding the modded Corsair 750d case - I have serious concerns about keeping things cool. Although my goal is the ideal temperatures I don't there should be any issues with trying for better airflow and therefore cooler pastures.

The stock case looks like:

I'm going to be modding it to look like:

Specifically I looking for feedback regarding any upgrades or downgrades to the components that would make a difference in stability, or the ability to play those games.

I would also likely add some additional case fans but am not sure if they will be necessary. Thoughts?

Thank you in advance for your time, suggestions and feedback.

Solution
changed your ram to newer low profile ram. if you change over the cpu cooler to a larger air cooler you have room to fit the ram under the cooler. the hard drives as data drives there no real speed lost from a 10,000 enterpize drive or a 7200 retail drive on sata ports. your better off buying the larger 2tb drive for storage. you forgot to add a cd rom to your build..lot of games and os still need a drive to install them if there not on stream. also put in a usb wifi card in case you needed wifi.
also look online for when the newer nvidia maxwell gpu are dropping in a week or so the 750 ti and the high end titain black card are dropping.
