Sound card or on board audio?

I'm in the process of building my new gaming pc and I'm thinking about buying a sound card. I don't have a lot to spend on one (max $80). Should I bother getting one in that price range or stick with the on board audio in my MSI Z87-G45? If so what are some recommendations in that price range? I don't know much about sound cards so any suggestions are helpful. Thanks!

nick it depends on what your doing with the pc. if your just going to game and watch you tube I would try the on board sound chip with a good set of speakers and if the sound is fine leave it alone. some people can tell that the sound is better from a sound card some cant.
