Hi. I bought a new rig, 2 months ago. I was using this computer without having any problems until one day I woke up and try to get into internet only to found out that my that I do not have the connection, I tried restarting my modem but didn't work, with a red X on my network icon I realized that I don't have any problems with my modem. I also tried reinstalling, updating my realtek driver, load my BIOS settings to default and made sure that onboard lan adapter is enabled but none of it worked, and guess what.. My ethernet cable is working on my laptop. Yesterday I brought my motherboard to where I bought it to have it checked up and it worked, but when I got back on my home, it is still not working and I don't know what to do anymore. I really need serious help with this please. Sorry for my bad english, by the way my motherboard is a Gigabyte GA H81m-DS2

I haven't tried yet. Because I'm having trouble finding some 20-30m long ethernet cable, the only cable available the nearest hardware are 3m, 5m, and 10m long. By the way my cable modem is 15m away (atleast, I think), and it only has 1 port, I'm connected directly to it and we do not have router. Yes it is in, there's no problem with the clip. What I'm just wondering is, why the same cable is working on my laptop, I mean it's weird it's just a matter of an overnight and the connection gone nuts on my PC. And my biggest question is... Is my onboard LAN adapter busted given that it is still trying to look for internet connection and lights still flashing on and off?

I already tried that. Nothing seems to work. I haven't got any problems with this long ethernet cable for a couple of years and 2 month for this new rig that I built.
