My PC does this thing where while it's booting, and it gets to the windows 7 logo coming together, the screen goes black and then comes back on for a few seconds, and then goes black again over and over 4-5 times, it doesn't hinder the PC from starting, I'm thinking that it has to do with the boot loader, but I don't know for sure. Anyway It makes boot times longer and it isn't how it should be, it's very annoying and I'd love any info that I can get on what the issue is and how to fix it.

Thanks!

Must be checking the signal and frequency. You might go into the monitor properties and disable any resolutions and hertz frequencies that you know you aren't going to use. Might also check the nVidia 'toolbox' or whatever they call it now and see if it has a bunch of unused resolutions and frequencies (just remember that if you ever hook a different monitor up though :) )

I'm running an MSI gtx 560ti with the newest nvidia drivers, (which I might say actually works for once) and it's been doing this ever since I first installed Windows which was over a year ago, and I've put other graphics cards in my system and it does the same things.

< <These are my system specs. All of my drivers are up to date and I don't have any missing drivers and I've already unchecked everything in the startup folder that I don't need, so I know that isn't the problem. But I will unplug all of my USB devices and see if that helps, thanks for the advice :D

So I unplugged every usb device to start with and it still didn't boot correctly, idk what else to do except maybe booting without my others hard drives and optical drives plugged in. I'll try that and see what happens.

The IGP is auto disabled because my motherboard doesn't support integrated graphics, so I have to have a graphics card in it, and there isnt anything in the bios that i havent already reviewed multiple times, i can always fix boot problems but i've never had any problems like this before :/ but thanks for the recommendations.

I found out what the problem is, I plugged in a different monitor and it boots up without the pulsing of the windows logo, which means my monitor is the problem but I don't know how to make the monitor work correctly. I"m thinking that it's turning on and off repeatedly while booting so if someone has information on that, It would be greatly appreciated :D
