My aunt called me today saying her PC won't start. I think the power supply died again The first time i replaced the original one with a dynex one I had lying around ( it lasted a little over 3 years). But the computer is rather old, I'm not sure of the model but I know it's an hp pavilion running vista with an AMD processor. I have a few parts lying around and what would be the best course of action. She uses her computer for skype, internet stuff, and looking at pictures, and listening to music. I have an intel core 2 quad 6600, 4gb of ram, a compatible motherboard, and a case on hand. Would it be better to repair the existing computer (I'm fairly sure the psu died), slap to together a new computer from existing parts or just start fresh.
I think her computer is a HP Pavilion a6030n PC (RX887AA)
