I recently upgraded to AT&T U-Verse and it is absolute garbage. My internet is good, I get around 24Mbps down and 5ish up, but their router/modem is garbage. I can't even play an online game without it crashing. I have the 2WIRE one. I have a nice modem that always worked. How do I go about bridging the 2? The other one is a netgear dual band one.

First off good luck I had the pacer model and there is no way to bridge them. I had 2 ATT tech plus their manager at my house and they had any contact they could call and no one was able to figure out how to bridge it. The best way to set it up is do a hard reset on the 2WIRE box, connect one computer to it along with your netgear router. Log in disable the 2WIRE wifi, I am assuming you will be using the wifi on your netgear, then go to the firewall and look for application, pinhole, dmz plus tab. In there look for your netgear router it will be listed by MAC address, select that, then further down the page select DMZ Plus, and then click save, you will need to enter the password that is on the sticker on the 2WIRE. Once that is setup it will pass your public IP to your netgear router. On your netgear router set the WAN to DHCP and it should receive the public ip. I also had to do this for a number of my clients that upgraded to ATT u-verse it was a big shock for us at the office that they removed the ability to bridge.
