cannot connect to EOP network

My Acer laptop (Win7) will not connect to my NetComm EOP network. It shows up in the list of available networks with a red X and the message that the settings saved on this computer do not match the requirements of the network.
I have tried to connect using the correct password but no luck. I am running 2 iPads on this Network so I know it is operational. My laptop is connecting to the wireless network of my router but is terribly slow even in the same room. Any ideas welcome.

Please ignore the above! It was so simple, I forgot that in the months since I last used my laptop I had done a firmware flash on the NetComm so once I deleted the network from the laptop it detected the later version and connected. As often happens, problem was the person in the chair.
