when is DDR3 RAM to back down in price?

I have noticed a huge increase in RAM prices in the last year. I Remember you could buy 2x8gb for as low as $100 for good ram. I even saw Kingston ram at Staples 4gb for 29.99. Now it is most 16gb ram kits are over $170.

I thought that might me he case as well but I remember hearing that when DDR3 was coming in that DDR2 prices went way down. I think I even watched a tiger direct video where it was about a socket 775 MB and they were saying that it was a good time to buy DDR2 ram. I really hope this is the case when DDR4 come in. But you are probably right. since the Hynix Factory fire DDR3 has gone up quite a bit and has not gone back to what it was at the beginning of 2013...
