Im using afterburner (2.3.1) to over clock and i have over clocked the Core clock to the max it allows, however the memory clock is lower then the core clock (default was 50 lower then clock).
Right now the core is 900 and memory is 850.

AMD Radeon HD 7700
driver 9.14.10.01001

like i said if i move it to any more then a 50 difference of the two my computer crashes.

Help
P.S. Tried it with AMD catalyst and same issue

Solution
It sounds like the vRAM isn't so good. You are best to just leave it be, you will get a bigger boost from core clock than RAM clock anyways.

If you are stable with the max afterburner allows you might try also ASUS GPU Tweak, and push the clock higher, just be careful

You can try, but I doubt they will. The card is sold to run at the stock frequencies, and anything more is officially unsupported.

You have a 7700? Does it have GDDR5?

No its the lower cost one of ddr3 with 2gb by msi

Well try and see, the fun with the ASUS GPU tweak is in advanced mode it extends the ranges. SO if you cannot overclock past 1050 for example, you can push it up to I think a limit of 1700. Not you would ever get that far.
Enable it and it might let you set the RAM proper too, and then work with it try to overclock. Get your core clock higher if nothing else, but might get the RAM also.
