Hello.

I am building gaming pc for my girlfriend to play Elder Scrolls Online. Some components are quite old, but psu, and gpu are pretty new and would like to professionals advice to choose from these 2 cpu´s to use with it. Any other tips are more than welcome.

AMD A6 or i5 650 both are with reference cooling and not upgraded.
Mobo is better in i5 650 can add up to 16gb ram to it AMD A6 mobo has support for only 8gb but has support for ssd that i could not find if intels mobo has.

Setup would be this:

i5 650 dual core @3,2GHz OR A6 3600 quad core @2,1 GHz
mobo see above for choices
8-16 gb ram
gigabyte hd 7950 3 gb
samsung 7200 rpm 1500gb
corsair hx 850w
win 7 64 bit
1920x1080 led display

I´m not going with old tech she is.
And why? Well surprise because of money.
Sadly it doesn´t grow in trees for students.

Sadly i can´t help her with upgrades more than by giving her my old case gpu and psu at the moment.
So choices are pretty much limited in these components i have listed.

In that case I'd probably take the old i5-650 (basically a dual core with HT) over the A6, it's still fairly capable and should perform better, 8GB of RAM is more than enough

You could just get a 750k and a FM2/FM2+ mobo too, that wouldn't be a bad choice either

If she is still interested of it.
