I'm trying to downgrade a Toshiba C55-A5300 laptop from Windows 8.1 to Windows 7. I have the install instructions from Microsoft on the process, downloaded a Windows 7 iso image from DigitalRiver, and have made a Windows 8 recovery set in case I ever want to go back to it. I also solved the BIOS issues to get the cd to boot, but now the installation process insists on CD/DVD drivers, and will not continue without them (quite logically). But, I can't seem to find any - not even at Toshiba. CD/DVD is a Matshita DVD-RAM UJ8C2. Anybody got an answer on how to get this downgrade to work?

You may need the motherboard drivers, or try to use a bootable USB stick for install Windows. If the laptop has both USB2 and 3 ports, use the stick in the USB2 ports or you'll get the same error.

What is happening is that the Windows 7 setup can't load the new motherboard drivers to see where the setup files are.
