Hi - Need your complete system specs.

However, in general ddr2 ram will not cause a noticeable lack of performance in your video game play.

The GPU, CPU, PSU and the amount of ram will have more effect than whether it's ddr2 or ddr3.

no, your DDR2 system ram, is different than the GPU GDDR5 ram. They run independently and don't interfere with each other. However, not knowing your other sepcs exactly, we can extrapolate it's an older core 2 system. It being a core 2 duo (2 cores) your really snookered for good game performance, but it really depends on which exact model. Anything lower then an E8400 and i'd say your not going to get much high performance. Forget about BF4 in HD on anything other than low-medium settings, and you'll be lucky enough to get that.

Umm...considering you CPU only has 2 cores and you have not specified any specific CPU i doubt you can run BF4 and have a pleasurable experience. The DDR2 RAM makes a difference, but honestly not as much as you would think.
