I just installed an Ultra LSP 750 power supply to my old Dell Inspiron 545. I was replacing the original PS which was only 300 watts. After everything was plugged in the Ultra would not power up. A couple of lights came on and the fans tried to turn, but then nothing. I put the old power supply back in the computer and everything works fine. Any Suggestions?

Sound like your PSU, did you purchased new?

Anyway just follow those guidelines, just make sure that your hard drive is disconnected, along with motherboard, if you have video card connected, disconnect it as well, only fans should stay connected.

If your fan is not working - bad PSU, no questions, if fan working, it is still PSU, but not so obvious.

Ultra PSU is not a brand name, so not recommended.

If you can return, please do so and purchase next...
