My motherboard only supports ram upto 1333mhz but i have my old Corsair 4gb with 1600mhz,so my mobo underclocks it.
i wanna add a 4gb stick, should i put a Corsair 1333mhz ram with the ram i already have i.e 1600mhz coz any which way my Mobo will underclock it ?

All you can do is test it. Yes, it will underclock it by default. If it is a single channel controller on the board it should make no difference. If it is dual channel you may need to use odd slots. In dual channel (depending on the board) most times one would install in the one and three slots, or the two and four slots. If yours is dual channel you may need to install opposite of the corresponding slot (i.e. slots one and four, or slots two and three). Or I could be over thinking it entirely and you just need to stick the damn thing in there and see what happens. LOL. Either way it won't hurt the machine.

Best of luck.
