That is not exactly true. The FX series is more than just for games and it is a powerful CPU in terms of raw performance compared to AMD's APU line.

While the APUs can handle photography and video editing work, it's weaker CPU core does not stand up to AMD's FX series. The FX series can even rival Intel CPUs or perform a little better than them in video encoding. The APUs will always be last.

Here is an example of a video encoding benchmarks of various CPUs. Since the benchmark is measured in seconds, the lower the score the better...

Thank You! In case A-10 considering tdp, which model cpu is better? I think A-10,5700 is suitable for my work and it performs with 65 tdp ?

Its performance is good, so it is a good choice.

AMD consumes more tdp than intel and here we have to face hot climate as well system heat and therefore we prefer to get low tdp with better performance.

the fx line does better at video editing and other multithreaded tasks than it does at gaming. if TDP is an issue, the FX-6300 is 95W and will out perform any APU. the 6300 would strike a nice balance. If that cpu is still too power intensive, go with an i3. Better performance than AMD's APUs and lower power usage.

The statement that FX is a gaming CPU is completely inaccurate. There is nothing in the FX processors that's meant for games. In fact, it is the A10 with its integrated graphics that's marketed as the budget gaming CPU. FX are based on the same architecture as Richland or older A10/A8 APUs, but the FX processors give you more cores and more cache memory, but no integrated graphics. All in all FX are still the best CPUs among the AMD offerings, for games, video editing, and what not. The FX-8350 and 8320 are highly recommended IMO.
