Reformatting a hard drive taken from another computer.

Hi guys,
I have an HDD from my previous computer, it has an operating system installed and i was thinking about reformatting this hard drive from my current PC. I was wondering if when i connect it to my PC, will the 2nd OS take boot priority when i turn my pc on?

Boot order/priority is set in your bios. As long as your PC is set to boot from the correct drive, your old drive will be a non-issue. Just throw it in and format away.
