Which card should i choose?

Hi,

I'm looking at getting a new graphics card for my media PC. Doesn't need to play games or anything just playing back 3D Blu-Rays etc, I've tried a few lower spec cards like GT610 and i get stuttering every so often so wanted to get something a little quicker.

Main requirement is must be silent.

Heres what im looking at:

Asus AMD Radeon HD 7750 DirectCU Silent Graphics Card

Sapphire 11192-06-20G HD6670 1GB Ultimate Graphics Card GDDR5

Sapphire AMD HD7750 Ultimate 1GB Passive

Or can you recommend something better? Budget around £75

I'd go with the 7750, it's the best card you can get that draws all the power it needs off the pcie slot. If you want to get any more power your PSU needs to have a 6 pin connector. A 7750 should be all the card you need.

those are both great card makers, but I'd go with the asus, their coolers are really quiet.

They are both silent cards, Both have just heatsinks no fans. Is the Ultimate not better?

Oh didn't see that, the cooler on the ultimate seems to be better, but I'd only get passive cooling if you have a side fan on your case, otherwise there isn't going to be much air flow over the card.

i don't think you need a new GPU. your stutter may be related to your hard drive not feeding info smoothly. I had movies playing from a WD Green which had weird video stutter (but audio would play fine). I moved my movies to a Seagate 7200.14 and it's smooth all the time.

my movies play through a GT610 as well (specifically, the Asus GT610 1GB Low Profile Silent)

I can play 2D ISO Files (40GB+ Files) without any problems but ive started to notice when it changes to 3D Resolution i get slight stuttering when there is alot going on. The files are coming from normal HDDs, not silent.
