Are you sure? And also is it important to update bios and chipset drivers? I know its not on topic, but I would like to know.

I would not update a BIOS unless its to fix a known problem , or to add support for an updated processor . Making a mistake can ruin your mb so it wont ever boot again . Its not common that that happens but if there is no benefit why take any risks?

Chipset drivers you can update using device manager . Have windows look for updates . Dont be surprised if the ones you have are already up to date

Yes Im sure software crashed windows . Were you running anything new or different ?
You do not have to enable crash reporting . Just ignore it and reboot if it bothers you
