How do I clone a Sata hdd and what is the best software for cloning
Ok I currently use an 80gb hdd and I just got a 500gb hdd. I want to take all my data including the os (which currently is WXP sp3) from the 80gb hdd to the 500gb. I have heard of cloning but I'm am not sure of how to do it. So could someone please tell me how to do it and what is the best or your preferred software for cloning. Thanks you.

Does Cloning require hardware? Because I heard that you just need software like gparted or something to do it.
The hardware consists of the connector to connect the HDD to the external USB port on the computer.
Acronis is also good for cloning. http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/trueimage/index.html?adpos=1t2&device=c&network=g&matchtype=e&gclid=CLjA6KKQtrwCFYVDMgodkCQAng
