Hi everyone, like the title says.. I've read through other threads like mine, and people say there are 3 main causes. These causes;

PSU - Not my issue
Outdated drivers - Not my issue#
Overheating - Not my issue

Is there anything else which could cause my computer to just restart after about 30 minutes of gameplay? It's only Skyrim, not exactly taxing..

System specs:
Graphics: Palit GTX 66Ti
Processor: ASUS 6100 6 core
Board: ASUS M5A78L/USB3
PSU: Corsair HX 750
RAM (If that's of any help): Corsair Vengeance 4gig x2

My temps rarely exceed 58 C, there's no bluescreen before the restarts... I don't understand :(

P.S - This is a 64bit system.
Thanks!

If it is only skyrim then I assume there's a problem with the game. Is there a common action within the game that causes the problem? You should try reinstalling the game.

Also try playing the game with 1 of your RAM sticks in at a time, see if one RAM stick is causing it.

Have you modded the game at all?

Many, many, many things CAN go wrong besides those three.

Try running on one stick of ram (then the other, then known good ram if you have access to some),
Try removing everything but the CPU/heatsink from the motherboard and reseating all PCI(e)/SATA/power/etc connections (and/or replacing all SATA/common cables)
Try putting it on a UPS (could be household power issues),
Try running on integrated graphics only (issue could be in the GPU),
Try removing all non-ESSENTIAL PCI(e) types (sound/network/tv capture cards and the like),
Try disabling features on the Motherboard (cool 'n quiet/power saving features can cause issues),
Try a different keyboard, mouse, monitor, headset, and the like (could be a short in one of them/cables),
Try removing the network cable and gaming offline.

I'm not saying any/all the above are likely or easy to do - but they might help narrow down the issue.

Or as woltej1 says - if only crashing in skyrim - issue might be there and not hardware related.

Skyrim is a very taxing game if its modded.
But that aside, if it is modded its probably one of your mods.

Thanks for all the answers. I've seemed to have solved the issue, there was a problem whilst installing the latest nVidia driver unbeknownst to me, I just re installed it and that fixed my problem.

Thanks again!
