Please help I am so confused

I have a gpu that needs replacing and I am going to buy http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130944
I have a Cooler Master rs-550-pcar-e3 PSU.
The card says I need 60a on the 12v rail. I really cant figure this out as even a bunch of 750w PSUs appear to have MUCH less than 60w on the 12v rail (if I read correctly). Can anyone help me figure this out?

It's actually 30A instead of 60A. If I'm not mistaken, your PSU supplies a total of 36A to the 12V rails, therefore you should be fine.

...it is not a 'true' 550W PSU. With only 2 small 18 amp (+12V) rails rated at 360W, it is more like a 450W PSU.

The GTX 760 is a 170W card (14.2 amps @ 12V): http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-760/specifications
It will probably work OK, but that PSU is not one of the best. It is ranked as tier 4, not recommended: http://www.eggxpert.com/forums/thread/323050.aspx

It will work, the 760 draws at max 170W. It gets 75 off the board and another 75 from each 6pin. Your PSU is very low quality though and would not recommend using this for gaming.

My PSU states +12v1 = 16A and +12v2 = 16a
So would this still work? I guess I should not have given my wife the better PSU lol

I believe you also need an additional 6-pin connector for the Graphics card.

Your current PSU will only put out 18a on the 12v rail. So you will need a better PSU.

however, the card you linked says it only needs 30a on the 12v rail ... not 60a. or were you planning to get 2 cards and do SLI?

It's beginning to appear that your PSU is going to be a bit on the weak side. It may work, but you will be running the PSU at near max usage when gaming. Not recommended. It would be best to upgrade the PSU as soon as possible. Btw, it looks like that card comes with a dual 6 pin to single 8 pin splitter. First time I've seen that offered with a card. But you will need 1 x 6 pin and 1 x 8 pin for that card.
