Well i just purchased it like 2hrs ago but i don't know if it's really worth it to cancel the whole order just because of the PSU and besides there is a local PC store nearby that buys & sells PC components so i'll see if i can get my money back on that PSU and RAM and while i'm at it i'll get a CX 500w one and 2 matching RAM sticks.

I'll second the Windows 8.1 suggestion. My daughter runs Minecraft just fine on my Windows 8.1 system. There's a little learning curve to it, but it's a better overall OS. You can set Windows 8.1 up to boot straight to the desktop, so you hardly ever have to use the new modern interface if you don't want to. You can also set non-modern apps as the default so you don't have to use the modern apps if you don't like them.
