Ok, so this is what's going on, for a while now, I have had wired internet and for a while now (can't recall since when) it has been dropping randomly, just for this computer. It usually drops when I try to logon to games, but recently, it has gotten worse, and now it drops when I browse the internet. I recently put in a new CPU, more ram, and a new power supply, and ever since I put in those things it has become more frequent. Is there a fix to this problem (non-hardware related). If not can I fix it easily? Also, I know it isn't the modem, because everyone else on my network doesn't get issues like this at all.

Try updating you NIC driver. If that doesn't work, perhaps your NIC is failing. Try installing a PCI/e NIC and see if it works better.

Off hand, not sure. I'm surprised a 3rd party pci/e nic didn't fix the problem.

Didn't know you meant to try a whole new driver, i'll try that today when I get home and provide more feedback.

I stated that pretty clearly in my first post as well as to try a PCI/e NIC. If you don't have a spare NIC around you'll need to purchase one.

Just in case you are not sure what a NIC is,NIC = Network Interface Card.
