I was playing DotA 2 when out of nowhere my screen turned grey with black lines. Now I can startup my computer but on my login screen all I see is the login box, the keyboard button in the top left, and the rest is black. When I press the power button I can see the shutting down text, but the rest is still black. When I login through the textbox the screen just goes black. I installed Ubuntu and that worked alright I was able to watch videos, but everything about the OS was slow and glitchy, which wasn't the case on my considerably less powerful laptop. I have run chkdsk and windows memory diagnostics with no avail. I've also run a system restore but that did nothing. What could the problem be?
Edit: So after re-installing the same drivers a couple of times it worked. Then when I played Dota, after about a week it crashed the same way again. Screen started tearing and flickering, then it crashed with grey lines. And its the same when I start it up. When I uninstall drivers with driver sweeper it runs fine except for games and videos(which obviously need drivers to run). I've tried reinstalling the latest drivers several times again, I've tried reinstalling 2 different older drivers as well as the beta drivers. What do I do? And reinstalling windows seems like overkill.
