My USB drivers are missing their software.

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28). When I attempt to manually install from the device manager, it will not install.

Thank you so much for your help! I have already tried solutions 1, 3, and 4. And I do not want to attempt a system restore because I do not want to lose all of the projects, files, music, etc.. that I have downloaded, and I'm not sure exactly when this problem occurred. For some reason my external mouse would work then it just stopped working when I had a issue with the usb drivers and uninstalled all of them, then rebooting the computer to let windows update take care of it. But it could not find software through the web or computer. And yet my printer still works with one usb port, along with my akai mpk so I'm not exactly sure what the whole problem is. Is there any driver software I could find online that would could be manually updated and possibly fix this problem? Again thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it!!
