Hi,

I've just built myself a machine with the following spec:

MSI H61M-P20 (G3) Motherboard
Intel i7-3770 Socket 1155 CPU
Geforce GTX 6600 GPU
2 x 8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport 1333 Memory
Seagate 2TB HDD
500 W Power Supply

I put it all together but when I switch on the power comes on for a few seconds, then goes off, then on again etc.
I've tried everything from the guide on this site for the same problem and still the same behaviour.
I've got both 4-pin and 24-pin power connectors, CPU Cooling Fan connected, tried both RAM sticks independently.
Also tried removing GPU and using on board and still see same behaviour.

Anyone have any ideas before I look for a replacement motherboard.

Thanks,
Mark

Hi, It might be a power supply issue. Try testing the board outside the case, only CPU and CPU fan installed. See if still on and off.
If still the same, try borrowing a power supply for testing.
The CPU does require a BIOS update, but I guess that the board was manufactured after January 2012 (or it's an old one)?
