Printer wont work

I have a EPSON XP-400 and it only prints in black and white. Yes, I already went to advanced settings and made sure everything was set to color. When That diden't work I set to default and of course that did not work either. The printer hasen't been used in six months so I thought the ink has dried, so I cleaned the bottom with windex and cleaned the needle top with alcohol. It worked okay for three pages and went back to black and white. Please tell me what I should do? Thanks.

The fact that it worked fine for 3 pages and then went back to black only indicates to me that the ink inside the cartridge is dried out. Try a new cartridge, if it isn't the fault of an old cartridge, it's time for a new printer.

Just bought some new cartridges and still the same problem. Tried like 20 pages and still the same. The printer is practically brand new bought it like 8 months ago. Just haven't used it for 6 months. Is it gunked up or what?
