Is ssd the differnce

I was looking into saving some money. I have a 600w PSU, fx 6300, gtx 660, 8gb ddr3, 27" 1080. Is it worth spending 90 bucks on a ssd. I plan on getting a 1 tb hdd 7200rpm

Depends. It's probably a better idea to spend it on the GPU, though. I'd look at getting a 760 or higher.

With that build it would be nice to have an SSD

It will speed up your OS, and everything what will be on it, also games by a lot

You'll get a lot more space for 90 bucks from a platter drive than you will get on a SSD......
So depending on your priority list, space or speed..... which ever comes first should be the choice...

i own an ssd for 3 years now i think.
now, my take, if you still have ample space (im assuming you have another hdd now), then get the ssd. the other hdd can wait, in my opinion.

i for one will never go back to mechanical drives for my boot device. it's worth it, and back then when i bought mine it was much more expensive

I would like to have an ssd. Sorry was thinking 120gb for 90bux. I need to try to save money, so would a 1 tb 55$ 7200rpm be that much worse? Fps difference?

There will be NO FPS difference with an SSD. The SSD will significantly speed up boot time, game and map load times but NOT FPS.

yup, no fps diff, but the loading time is huge. my boot time is around 13sec i think. unlike mechanical drives, the boot time does not seem to grow longer. and in bf4, i am always one of the first to be in the map

in short, things are snappy, browsers open fast, as well as applications
