I ordered Corsair Vengeance DDR3 8 GB (1 x 8 GB) PC RAM (CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10) but now when nothing showed up in my pc i searched and looked at motherboard specification and it says it supports Memory Frequency 1066 MHz, 1333 MHz and the one i bought is Memory Standard DDR3 1600/PC3-12800.... does anyone have any solution except replacing the ram?

Solution
64 bit, that's good. In your bios, downgrade the frequency from 1600MHz to 1333MHz in Bios (if you don't know what or where that is just ask). i had a look at your motherboard on the Asus site and it says exactly this:

** Refer to www.asus.com or user manual for Memory QVL (Qualify Vendor List)
*** When installing total memory of 4GB capacity or more

This site also says this:
2 x240-pin DIMM, Max. 8 GB, DDR3 1333(O.C.)/1066/800 Non-ECC,Un-buffered Memory
Dual Channel memory architecture

Does that men that each slot supports a max of 4GB, i'll come back with an answer to that later if it is.

Well RAM doesn't make your PC that much faster. CPU and HDD do affect the computer more than what you would think. Also I think you might have 32bit Windows that's why it is stuck at 4gb

Yes, you are right... I am using the same motherboard... MAX RAM is 8GB.. with Dual Channel memory architecture, each slot max value is 4GB.
