I need to change the internal (memory)battery on my Acer Aspire 8920g. How to?

What do you mean by internal memory battery? The only internal battery I know is the one on the motherboard which keeps the BIOS running.

Correct, it's the CMOS battery.

I need to enter date/time in set up when starting the PC. It's due to replacement of the CMOS battery.
My challenge is to replace this battery and it seem to be a rather delicate job for an amateur.

Well you need to locate the battery on the motherboard, it should be at the bottom surface of the motherboard (as the laptop sits on the table). Here is a video on how to do it.
