I am thinking of building my own PC. My desired system configuration is AMD fx8350 processor, MSI 970A-g46 motherboard, 8GB DDR3 corsair vengeance RAM, 1TB Hard-disk@7200, 64 GB Kingston SSD and MSI AMD R7750 2GB graphics card. I don't know which SMPS to go with and things like that. I would like to get your help to choose the right SMPS for the configuration mentioned above. I would also like to know if the motherboard is completely compatible with the processor cause I came across a article which in this website itself which was causing blue death screen for some users.

Solution
gigabyte GA-78LMT

That board is not gonna cut it. Its worse than the MSI.
Go for one of these :
Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3
Asus M5A97 (any one of the different ones)
Asrock 970 (any one of them)
Biostar TA970XE

You can pair an AMD or Nvidia graphics card with an AMD CPU, it makes no difference.
The GTX 760 is the best at 240$.

Alternatively :
AMD R9 270X

Avoid MSI 970 chipset motherboards completely. Get something from Asus preferably.

Is this a gaming PC?
If it is then I would strongly suggest you get a better graphics card, you can drop the CPU to a AMD FX 8320 or even a FX 6300. Also drop the SSD so you can better better gaming performance. 60GB is going to frustrate you, save up for a proper quality 120GB drive from Samsung for example.

A 550W power supply is more than enough as long as it is a quality unit.

Thanks a lot for the response. Yes the PC is for gaming. I don't want to downgrade my processor because according my knowledge there is a significancant difference between FX8350 and the one you had mentioned,. Can you please tell me if Gigabyte GA-78LMT is a good mother?anyways thanks a lot for your response. By the way I shall be updating my GPU after and year or 2.

I would avoid that motherboard. The VRM's are known for getting too hot and it will throttle down your fx 8350 to keep it cool. It is not suited for 125W processors

Look at these boards instead:

I agree with the guy above. You are spending too much on the CPU and too less on the GPU, if it is for gaming, of course

No, that is a very bad board, worse than previous one.

You realize that you will get worse gaming performance because you insist on that CPU and a weaker GPU?

You will get much better gaming experience if you balance the system out. The difference between the 8350 and 8320 is very little.

I don't think that board supports the fx 8320
http://

I would recommend a board with a 970 chipset. The 760's are really old and outdated
