I ordered recently from a local retail store the Kingston HyperX Beast Kit of 2x4GB @ 1600MHz.

But instead they brought to me the 1866MHz version. o my problem is: will the 1866MHz play normally on the ASUS Maximus VI Hero with the i5-4670?

Will it need settings to be done (down-clocking)? Will it play automatically at 1600MHz? And is there any hance it will cause me problems?

Solution
It is simple dear. By default they'll be set at 1333/1600 MHz not at 1866MHz. So if you don't want to use it at its rated speed, you have the answer. However, by enabling XMP profile you can use 1866MHz. There is no issue at all if you enable xmp and use your RAM at its rated speed.

It says it supports it, but with O/C. I don't wanna O/C anything.

OK so...

1) I can install them and they will auto-set at 1600MHz, and
2) If I want them to run at 1866MHz I just enable the XMP profile without O/C the CPU?

I got them right?

Yes dear you got it right. Pl note that at auto, speed may be 1333/1600 MHz. I've Corsair Dominator Platinum 32GB Kit @ 1866MHz and my Asus Maximus VI Formula picked them at 1333 MHz. After enabling the XMP they are running at 1866 MHz without OCing the CPU.

Hopefully your query is satisfied. Good Luck
