Hi,

I'm running a small media server with W8.1 and i have it sleep most of the time but it keeps waking up all the time, Seems almost randomly aswell. It comes back on within 1 minute of going to sleep.

If i do powercfg /lastwake it always just displayed this:

Wake History Count - 1
Wake History [0]
Wake Source Count - 0

I need to be able to wake it from LAN so i have that ticked in power management but that is all that is allowed to wake the PC, Mouse/Keyboard is disabled.

My motherboard is: B75 Pro3-M, I have the Smart Connect Technology disabled.

Here are some settings i have:

Turn HDD off after: 15mins
Sleep after: 20mins
Hybrid-Sleep: Disabled
Hibernate: Disabled
Wake Timers: Disabled
USB Selective: Disabled
Link state power management: Off
Multimedia/Sharing media: Allow PC to sleep.

I have also disabled it waking PC up when doing updates.

Is there a way i can only wake from lan from specific ports for example port 21 for FTP and 3389 for remote desktop?

According the this other forum you should be able to:

Also, this is for win7 and you probably already found this but perhaps it still applies to 8.1?:

Too much info to list but in case you didn't find these on your own perhaps they can further point you in the right direction. Sorry I don't have more details but hope it helps!

Thanks,
