I just put my mobo that has not been used for 2 years, it ECS A785GM-m7. when I try to turn on the power button, it will not powerd up, but all the fan spins a bit (maybe half a second) and off again.
I've put all the components properly. and I think there is a problem on the power switch, and then I tried to touch the power switch pins with a paper clip, but the problem remains (does not turn on the fan only spins half a second.). and then I try to pair the paper clip directly to 24pins connector (Green & Black wire) with ATX connector plugged in, but nothing changed everything. I test my psu mobo and all the other normal.
reset CMOS, replacing its battery, try another PSU, breadboard it, all still does not change anything. does that mean my mobo is dead? if yes, what are the components on the motherboard is damaged? maybe i can fix itself.
