Hello,

I will be purchasing an ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 motherboard and I will need to upgrade from DDR2 RAM to DDR3. I'm currently looking for memory that is good for the new motherboard and was wondering, what is the difference between these two from Corsair? They seem to look the same (besides color) but one is slightly more expensive than the other. Also, is an extra 5-10$ worth spending for 1866 RAM for this mobo?

Or if you have another suggestion to what RAM I should get then that would be amazing. :)

As I see, the blue ones have better support for AMD.
As in performance they both are just same, 1600MHz / 9 latency, they will provide same performance.

More MHz ram that's better for video editing, when you work with big video files and you need them fast.

if you use your pc for some audio, video editing, take the 1866 :)
