I am in the process of setting up an old 450MHz AMD machiene (running XP, SP3) as a file and print server and am needing to attach several devices via the parallel port. I am intending on backuping up files using some varrious zip discs that I have as well as hooking up two parallel printer and a parallel scanner. Most of these devices have a parallel pass thru feature where I can dasiy chain one device to the next, but I was wondering what the maximum number of devices I can chain to each port is. Also, does the port bandwith decrease with each deivce that I attach? Thanks!
