i7 4930k vs i7 3970x

Basically what the title says. Should i get the i7 4930k or the i7 3970x. My computer specs are this :

Case - cooler master cosmos 2 ultra tower
Cpu - i7 4930k
Gpu - gtx 780ti superclocked
Motherboard - Asus Rampage IV Gene
Memory - 16gb ddr3 ram 2400mhz
storage - 2tb sata hdd
- 240gb ssd
optical drive - 12 x blu-ray 16x dvd
power supply (psu) - corsair 1000w 80 plus gold full modular
processor cooling - corsair h100i
sound card - asus sonar dvx
wi-fi card - dual band 802.11n 450mbps
Operating system - windows 8.1 64 bit

hmmm well haswell is newer and performs up to 10% better depending on the application, but it gets hotter too. if you have a quality cooler or want to overclock, go haswell. youll likely have to get a new mobo by the time an upgrade is necessary anyways. the difference will only be felt in benchmarks..

Honestly, The 4930k will be your best bet. The performance difference between the 3960x and the 4930k is minimal. So save the $400 and get the 4930k, Overclock it and it will be faster. Do not get a 4770k or anything. Waste of money. Considering your doing heavy editing and stuff. I do the same stuff so Im upgrading to a 4930k from an i7 3820.
