a little help with the 212 evo?

how many ram slots will a hyper 212 evo cover on the asus maximus VI hero?
i have 2 sticks of 4gb ram and I'm ok if it covers the 1st one, right?
ram is something about 45mm tall.

You can't leave the RAM in there when you put the CPU cooler on?

Anyway, your motherboard's got 4 ram slots, you're absolutely find if you cover the first red one, just use the two black slots instead.

When you say 'cover' I presume you mean it hovers over the RAM stick, without actually touching it.

This is more than acceptable as unless your overclocking your RAM you will not find your RAM will not overheat due to the natural heat dissipation from the chips (large surface area).

I would only be worried if you installed your Evo and the RAM was actually touching the Evo, but given I have the same setup as you (EVO covering my RAM slots) you would have to have some really tall RAM sticks to touch the bottom of the awesome Evo heatsink.
