The R7-250 is almost the same as the HD 7750 if that is available. It's kind of between the 7730 and 7750, closer to the 7750. That and any of its lower brethren will not need a PCIe aux 6/8 pin connector for power. A 450W (of good quality) will be sufficient for any of them. The GT 640 is Nvidia's answer to the HD 7750, if that is available in your region. Do you have a budget?
i have a budget to afford 6670 ddr5 , 7730 , 7750 , r7 240 & r7 250..all ddr5...
r7 240 & r7 250 r now available in my region.. so confused... if u sure about this r7 250 is same as 7750.. the benchmark saying 7750 is better than all of those cards..
but its not available... if i try.. may b i could get 7750.. if i cant..then u say what should i do?? thank u..
Naturally, a faster card is a better gaming card. But if you are stuck with a budget that tops out at HD 7750 prices, the R7-250 is the next best option... or the GT 640. Just be sure to get DDR5 VRAM and not DDR3. I have used the HD 7750 with a FX-6300 at 1080p. It is OK if you dial back the settings to med or low-med. I even played Crysis 3 (SP) at low-med settings at 1080p and it ran quite smoothly. And C3 looks good even at low-med. This was my Fraps results:
