The above msg came up on my laptop. the problem is, Windows XP was installed when I bought it and it didn't come with the CD. Is there anywhere I can download the file and apply it to the laptop via a USB Stick???? Thank you

You're going to have to acquire a CD somewhere in order to fix this problem. This is not a file you can download, it is the system hive of the registry and is unique to each machine. Start here to repair: https://support.microsoft.com/kb/307545

It should match what is installed on your system (including service pack level)
