Dvi to component

Ok so I'm pretty tech savy but I'm trying to find a way to use my old HDTV (it's a dinosaur projection tv lol) as a monitor for my PC but I have to go from dvi digital to analog component 1080i from my gtx 680 (stock edition) but I can't seem to find any cheap way to set it up any ideas?

Cheaper than an inexpensive adapter?

I looked at stuff like that but I'm not 100% sure that it will work I can't seem to find any good reliable information regarding Dvi-I to component and it actually working, catch my drift?
