Hi, i recently bout 4gb (2x 2gb of RAM from cex (company that sells used hardware/games) anyway the ram they sent me had a hp logo on it but i thought it would make little difference but after 2 weeks of troubleshooting it seems i was wrong,
on the sticks it says REPLACE WITH SPARE PART #: 501533-001 (if that helps)
im assuming it was stripped from a server or something and is propietary.
long story short is hp ram compatible with my custom build or not because i will get 1 long beep and 2 short beeps on startup and no display (this means theres no RAM detected)
Q1. is the ram compatible?
q2. Is it likely to be damaged if it is?
