i all ready have an intel nvidia system and wanted to think about trying amd for a traveling rig i have no more use for an r9 280x and thought this may be a good use (tried selling but no dice). any way i want the cheapest cpu that will not bottleneck amd cpu am3+.

Solution
the fx8320 is a great value if you can find it anywhere under 140... if you can't then the fx6300 is a great value under 110...

I wouldn't mess with any other chip on the AM3+ platform unless you can find an old PhenomII x6 1100T for $120 or less
