should i get 8 more gb of ram to complete the 16gb set or get some kind of a ssd?
gaming mostly
if i would to buy an ssd, which 1? as cheapest as possible :)
thx

SSD

8 more GB of RAM in your system will not even be noticed by any game. A game with lots of load screens will at least benefit from the SSD upgrade. If you get an SSD, I recommend 256GB or better. Samsung Evo maybe?

What do you mean by "gaming mostly"? Neither more RAM or an SSD will help you get better FPS (maybe like 1 more). If you're trying to get the most bang for your buck in the way of gaming, put that money towards upgrading your processor or GPU.

Now, if you're going to be doing a lot of video editing, and will use all 16 GB and just also will game on that system, then go ahead.

Same deal with the SSD, if you REALLY want boot and load times down, go for it.

However, neither upgrade will help you get better graphics performance.

I hope that helps!

He's refering to map / level load times. Improvement to gaming isnt always in terms of FPS, having to wait less for the game to start up is also a factor that people care about.

He already has a nice cpu. The map/level will load up in like 2 seconds faster with ssd. ALso, it depends on the internet connection if you play online. You could have the best specs and have shit internet adn it will still take a long time.
