New Build Problems

This is my first build and am having trouble getting a screen to come on when I turn it on. Any help would be appreciated. I have gone through and made sure everything was connected correctly. Thanks.

My system hardware:

AMD FX6300
Asus M5A97 R2.0
PNY Geforce GTX 660
2 - Kingston Hyper X Beast 4GB
Corsair CX430
Corsair 230T

My monitor is working on my other computer. I tried the HDMI & older VGA style and neither worked.

I think the GPU has power since the fan is running on it.

I had already done the steps and nothing new changed. I'm at a loss.

It could be a monitor problem. Try it with a different monitor

Went through the breadboard build and coming up with the same issue of no video on monitor.

I have tried to find the post speaker, but the mobo didn't come with one and the GPU doesn't have on either. Is this an essential part of what I need to solve this problem or do I have a bad mobo.

If the mobo is bad then why would the led light up and cpu fan turn on?
